Few things are easier to put together than a good slaw. You need to make only a few decisions. Onion? Garlic? Salt and pepper? Grated carrot? I used 1/2 head of savoy cabbage, some mayo, some onion, some garlic, salt and pepper, onion and garlic powders. Add some Dijon mustard if you like. I chop my cabbage with a shredding blade in our food processor. In any case, this is a tasty and nutritious thing. Go for it. Use any cabbage you like. It does not matter.Friday, September 9, 2011

Sometimes I like to mix things up and go with a vinegar based slaw. And then there is Lexington Red which, despite being revered in some areas, seems plain wrong.
I like red cabbage in slaw because it makes everything look more colourful!
